Early deadline for registration to ICME-12 extended

Dear ICMI Representatives and Chairs of ICMI Affiliate Organizations

ICME, the International Congress on Mathematical Education, is the
biggest event organized by ICMI, where several thousand professionals
meet to discuss all problems and advances around mathematics
education.
The next such congress will take place in Seoul, South
Korea, next July, from the 8th to the 15th. The General Assembly of
ICMI will take place on July 8.

The LOC-Local Organising Committee of ICME-12, chaired by Hyun Yong
Shin and co-chaired by Hee Chan Lew, worked very hard to get low
registration fees, and the early registration fee was set at 400 USD
(with a discount of 20% for those that register also for the satellite
conferences of the ICMI Affiliate Organizations MCG-The International
Group for Mathematical Creativity and Giftedness or HPM-The
International Study Group on the Relations between the History and
Pedagogy of Mathematics).

With this situation we expect the maximum number of people interested
might be able to attend ICME-12 in Seoul, South Korea.
But there have been several difficulties with the payment, namely with
the use of credit cards that need to be able to use the 3D Secure
system.

So, the LOC decided to :
a) extend the deadline for the early payment of the registration to
the 17th of April.
b) ask all people with difficulties with the payment to write to
icme12@icme12.org where they will receive information on a case by
case basis.

We hope that all problems can be solved and we all meet in Seoul next July.
